Pineview Park Monday night races,
A smaller turnout on a HOT monday night, only 19 moto's... Again I brought my FELT cruiser and there were not enough cruisers to make a class, we did however have a total points race for the old guys on class bikes. I had a 35 Expert in my race so expert points! first moto I had a good start and raced em to the first berm, where I ran out of room around the outside. I stayed within striking distance of the leader, but did not have an opportunity to get by. The second moto was really exciting, Terry the other novice got out front with me and Troy or (Todd?) (the 35x) right on his heels, and me right behind them both, we stayed that way til the final berm where Troy ran inside Terry, and gave me the inside line for the final straight, we raced bar to bar the whole final straight, 2 obstacles from the end I hit the front hard enough to move my bars forward, but I pushed through and over the last obstacle I stretched my arms and legs forward as much as possible and got the win!!!!! talk about an exciting race! Come time for the main event, and my training has obviously paid off, I got a good start and stayed in front the entire race, for a 2+1+1=4 WIN! and expert points to boot! Thanks again to FELT bikes, ODI grips, BELL Helmets, Supercross BMX, and Revolution Cycle and Ski... I didn't get a chance to see how most of the Revolution team did, but I do know that Mason got a second place in the main after direct transfer from Moto 1... Alek got a third after transferring from the second moto... and I know that JP and Cory were in the same moto and I think they both transferred to the main. We have a team clinic tonight so I hope to be able to get more info from racers and parents to try and keep up the blog a little more acurately! thanks for reading and have a blessed day! Brett |
