BMXing 7-6-09 Wellll, a not so great report for me...
Patty and I headed to Pineview for the monday night races, we had several from the team there! Alek, Mason, Soren, Jeremy, Cory, and myself... Through the first round I saw, Mason Transfer, JP get a first or second, Cory get a first, Alek fall down, and Soren was taking it easy on his first night out for the year. I got a second on my cruiser, and a first place on my class bike! I was really excited because all I need is one more win to move from novice to intermediate! Second round started of with a bang, not a good one either, cruiser class was up first, as I got to the first berm, I woke up later in some pretty bad pain, witness accounts say that i turned in and hooked another bike, landing directly on my right shoulder, and my head, after being out for about 30 seconds, they cut off my jersey, strapped me to a back board, and hauled me to the ER... some X-rays, a cat scan, and some assesments... a bad chunk of skin out of my right shin got stitches, I fractured my scapula, and separated my shoulder, and a very minor concussion. So it looks like I am out for a few weeks. but thanks to BELL helmets for protecting my knoggin! The Awesome FELT cruiser survived the crash well, and I will be back, and I'll pray for quick healing! Thanks again to Pineview Park, Revolution cycle and ski, FELT bikes, ODI grips, but in this case the most important thanks go to BELL Helmets... I will hopefully be able to get to the track while I am healing and keep updates up on the rest of the team... God Bless
