Finally had a weekend where I didn't have something conflicting with BMX. Saturday the 22nd I was at the track and helped the Pineview staff do a community Ed intro to BMX class, we had 20 kids there! it was cool, we played some fun games, and had a great time. The kids finally did get to ride the track, after the rain stopped the breeze the track dried quickly. Which was great that way the kids had a chance to get out there, and we saw a bunch of them show up on sunday for the races!
Sunday, I arrived late, but did manage to get a few gates in and see the track... It was HOT, 80's and HUMID... I ran 2 total points races, one on my class bike and the other on my Cruiser... LOVE the new BOMBSHELL forks! and the new FELT white frames are RAD! I was pretty happy with my finishes for not having been on the track for a couple months... was able to keep up with some guys that are a bit younger than me, and was happy to pull to 2nd place finishes! Definitely will enjoy a little less humidity, and a little cooler, but it was a great training day... the new track configuration is really nice and a big chunk longer... they should be gluing the track soon which will make it smoother and faster yet!
